The week included wounded U.S. troops, a drone warning, and a federal probe into Arizona’s 2020 vote.

Trump’s 60th week brought updates on Iran and Arizona. As the war with Iran continues, the FBI warned that Iran could attack California and the West Coast, raising concerns as 140 troops have been wounded in the two-week war, with estimates higher. At the same time, as oil costs have risen due to the war, the U.S. announced the release of 172 million barrels of oil from strategic reserves.
Meanwhile, following a previous report from The Introspective detailing how the FBI seized voting records in Georgia connected to the 2020 election, the Trump administration is investigating the 2020 election results in Arizona, alleging election fraud.
Iran
As the war with Iran continues, the FBI warned California that Iran could attack the West Coast.
“We recently acquired information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United States homeland, specifically against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the U.S. conducted strikes against Iran,” read a statement obtained by ABC News.
“We have no additional information on the timing, method, target or perpetrators of this alleged attack.”

In an X post, California Gov. Gavin Newsom said he was in “constant coordination” with security and intelligence officials.
“While we are not aware of any imminent threats at this time, we remain prepared for any emergency in our state,” he wrote.
San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie also wrote on X that the city has been in “constant communication with our state and federal partners who have assured us there are no imminent threats to us here in San Francisco.”
Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert G. Luna said, “This is the most extreme time I’ve seen in decades.”
“We’re encouraging everyone to remain aware of their surroundings, including online and digital spaces. If you see something disturbing, or a neighbor is saying things that concern you, let us know. That’s what’s going to keep us safe,” he said.
This comes as 140 U.S. troops have been wounded during the war with Iran—with estimates higher—two weeks after the U.S. and Israel launched strikes on Iran.
Meanwhile, as oil costs have risen due to the war, the U.S. released 172 million barrels of oil from strategic reserves.
“As part of this effort, President Trump authorized the Department of Energy to release 172 million barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, beginning next week. This will take approximately 120 days to deliver based on planned discharge rates,” said Secretary of Energy Chris Wright in a press release.
“Rest assured, America’s energy security is as strong as ever.”

The International Energy Agency (IEA)—which was founded after the 1973 oil crisis—said its 32 member countries would release 400 million barrels of oil, the largest release since 1974.
Arizona
Following a previous report from The Introspective detailing how the FBI seized voting records in Georgia connected to the 2020 election, the Trump administration is investigating the 2020 election results in Arizona after alleging election fraud.
“Late last week I received and complied with a federal grand jury subpoena for records relating to the Arizona State Senate’s 2020 audit of Maricopa County,” said Arizona Senate President Warren Petersen on X, referring to the Phoenix area.
“The FBI has the records.”
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes called the investigation “unserious” in a statement obtained by The Introspective.
“The Trump administration is engaged in an unserious investigation into an election that took place six years ago based on nothing but conspiracy theories and lies,” she said.
“At the request of local leadership at Homeland Security Investigations, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office provided them with public records from the 2020 election investigation conducted under the prior attorney general, Mark Brnovich. We were happy to share them, because those materials speak for themselves.”

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security said the department could not comment on “any active investigations,” but added that the agency is “actively rooting out and investigating election fraud wherever it can be found. We have repeatedly demonstrated that illegal aliens can and do vote in our elections.”
“Under President Trump, HSI is committed to restoring integrity to our election systems and ensuring that American citizens and only American citizens are electing American leaders,” the spokesperson said.

This comes after Joe Biden won the 2020 election with 306 electoral votes, later sparking the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection.
