Trump’s 64th week ended with updates on Iran and a court ruling. Following a previous report from The Introspective detailing the ceasefire between Iran and the U.S., peace talks between the two countries failed, raising implications as Navy ships crossed the still-closed Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, following a previous Introspective report detailing a federal judge halting construction of the White House ballroom, another judge allowed its construction.

Following a ceasefire deal being reached between the U.S. and Iran, peace talks between the two countries failed after a meeting in Pakistan.

“The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement. And I think that’s bad news for Iran much more than it’s bad news for the U.S. … they have chosen not to accept our terms,” said Vice President J.D. Vance.

“The simple fact is that we need to see an affirmative commitment that they will not seek a nuclear weapon, and they will not seek the tools that would enable them to quickly achieve a nuclear weapon.”

However, Vance said that an agreement could still be reached.

“We leave here with a very simple proposal: a method of understanding that is our final and best offer,” he added.

“We’ll see if the Iranians accept it.”

Trump said on Sunday that the U.S. would blockade the Strait of Hormuz, raising implications after Navy ships crossed the strait on Saturday.

“Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz,” he wrote on Truth Social.

“At some point, we will reach an ‘ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO IN, ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO OUT’ basis, but Iran has not allowed that to happen by merely saying, ‘There may be a mine out there somewhere,’ that nobody knows about but them. THIS IS WORLD EXTORTION.”

He later said that the U.S. would prevent passage to any ship that paid a toll to Iran and would begin removing mines from the strait.

“I have also instructed our Navy to seek and interdict every vessel in International Waters that has paid a toll to Iran,” he continued.

“No one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage on the high seas. We will also begin destroying the mines the Iranians laid in the Straits. Any Iranian who fires at us, or at peaceful vessels, will be BLOWN TO HELL!”

Meanwhile, following a previous Introspective report detailing a federal judge halting construction of the White House ballroom, a three-judge panel allowed its construction.
